Barricade Situation Ends In Arleta
ARLETA (CBS) ―
Police say the man wanted in connection with a stolen car, who was barricaded inside an Arleta home, has been taken into custody.
Officials say the incident occured just after 8 p.m.
According to LAPD officer Cleon Joseph the incident took place near Osborne Street and Telfair Avenue.
Two people were reportedly also in the home before the suspect showed up. They got out safe and sound, according to Larry Welk reporting overhead in Sky 9.
One woman was reportedly inside the home throughout the ordeal.
Police originally described her as a hostage, but It is unclear whether the suspect ever knew the female was inside the house. She reportedly was in the bathroom talking to police via cell phone, that also according to Welk.
Welk also confirmed reports that three shots were fired when the incident began.
The suspect was only described as a man wearing dark clothing.
