Man Dies After He Loses Control Of Car

LANCASTER (CBS) ― A 30-year-old Lancaster man died Sunday when he lost control of his car, which veered off a roadway in the Antelope Valley and overturned, the California Highway Patrol reported Monday.

The solo-vehicle crash occurred on Avenue N at 162 Street East in the unincorporated Wilsona Gardens area of the county at around 5:40 p.m. Sunday, said CHP Officer David Porter.

The man was driving westbound on Avenue N when he attempted to turn left onto 162nd Street East, and his 1987 Acura veered off the roadway and overturned, he said.

The man was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected and declared dead at the scene, he said. His name was not immediately released.
