A 3.1-magnitude quake struck five miles east of Yorba Linda Wednesday.

A small earthquake struck Wednesday near the Orange County community of Yorba Linda, which was ravaged by a wildfire earlier this month.
Wednesday's temblor, a preliminary magnitude 3.1, occurred at 11 a.m. and was centered five miles east of Yorba Linda, a suburb about 30 miles from Los Angeles.
Earthquakes of this size typically don't cause any major damage.
