Magnitude 4.2 Quake Rattles Wrightwood

 QUAKE WATCH: Quake News, Tips

WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (AP) ― A magnitude 4.2 earthquake hit San Bernardino County early this morning, sending judders across the region.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake occurred at 1:53 a.m. and was centered about three miles north of Wrightwood, a mountain community about 80 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

Bonnie Curtis, a dispatch supervisor with the San Bernardino County Fire Department, says there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The quake was strong enough to wake people as far away as the north Los Angeles suburb of Glendale.
