Firefighters Friday fully contained the 584-acre Sierra Fire burning in the foothills north of Sierra Madre.
The blaze, which began on Saturday, has caused four minor injuries and damaged one outbuilding.
The firefighting effort has been aided by cooler temperatures and increased humidity.
The fire started along a popular trail in Santa Anita Canyon Saturday, prompting the evacuation of roughly 1,000 residents. Some of the brush hadn't burned in about 30 years, according to the Forest Service.
It was unknown when the blaze will be fully extinguished.
