Caught On Tape: Man Run Over By Van In Whittier

WHITTIER, Calif. (CBS) ― A man was hospitalized Wednesday night after a van he was trying to chase down for hitting his ex-girlfriend's car ran over him with its right rear wheel.

CBS 2 / KCAL 9's Glen Walker was about to go live for the KCAL 9 News at 8 p.m. when the accident happened, capturing the entire incident on tape. The van's wheel appeared to squarely run over the man's hips.

The man's tearful ex-girlfriend, Jessinia Felix, said the white van hit her car and her ex-boyfriend chased after the van. She tried to cut him off, but he eluded her.

Police later caught the suspected hit-and-run driver.

The hit-and-run victim was taken to County-USC Medical Center.
