Vineyard Bank Shut Down By Regulators
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―
Government regulators shut down Vineyard Bank Friday and will reopen its branches as branches of California Bank & Trust.
Vineyard Bank had seven branches in Los Angeles County and one in Irvine.
Vineyard depositors will automatically become customers of California Bank & Trust and continue to be insured by the FDIC.
Vineyard depositors can still access their money by writing checks or using automated teller machines or debit cards.
Vineyard Bank was the 57th FDIC-insured institution to fail in the nation this year, and the eighth in California.
Customers with questions about the closures can call the FDIC at (800) 900-5170 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays.
Vineyard Bank's 16 branches included those in Covina, Diamond Bar, Irwindale, La Verne, Manhattan Beach, San Dimas and Walnut.
