16-Year-Old Twin Sisters Missing From Malibu

MALIBU, Calif. Sixteen-year-old twin sisters who left their home in the Malibu area on Sunday are believed to be runaways, sheriff's officials said.

Mary and Morgan Corrodi's parents told reporters that the teens are developmentally disabled, and that they attend special education classes. Parents told investigators their daughters have left home before, but never for this long.

The twins were reportedly seen at Universal City Tuesday but those reports did not pan out, authorities said.

"At the time that the deputy went out to interview the parents on the runaways, the information from the parents indicated that that's what they were at the time: runaways and runaways only," Sheriff's Lt. Richard Erickson of the Malibu/Lost Hills station said. "There was no indication that would say that we would have to activate an Amber alert."

Anyone with information about the girls' whereabouts is urged to call the sheriff's department at (818) 878-1808.
