"Twilight" fans are camping out in Westwood for Monday's premiere of "New Moon."
Some fans came from as far away as Australia to be part of the vampire mania. The first person in line drove from Arizona and arrived Thursday morning.
By Sunday morning, hundreds were camping out for Monday's premiere at Mann's Village Theatre and Bruin Theatre, and hoped to get a glimpse of the stars.
The movie, based Stephanie Meyer's series of "Twilight" novels, opens nationwide Friday.
It stars 23-year-old Robert Pattinson as heartthrob vampire Edward Cullen; Kristin Stewart as Bella Swan; and Taylor Lautner as werewolf Jacob Black.
The first film, "Twilight," sold more than $383.6 million in tickets worldwide and producers hope "New Moon" will outdo it.
More than a week before its release, "New Moon," had sold more than four times as many tickets as "Twilight" at
MovieTickets.com at the same point in the sales cycle, according to The Los Angeles Times.
