9 Injured In 101 Freeway Crash Near Toluca Lake

TOLUCA LAKE, Calif. (CBS) ― Nine people were injured Tuesday in a multi-vehicle crash on a freeway near Toluca Lake, a fire official said.

The crash involving four vehicles happened about 7 p.m. on the Hollywood (101) Freeway near Vineland Avenue, said California Highway Patrol Officer David Porter.

Two people were in serious condition and seven others had minor injuries, said Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

Four of the five southbound lanes on the 101 were closed for 50 minutes while tow truck crews removed vehicles involved in the collisions, Porter said.
