Tiger Woods has posted another statement on his Web site, this time thanking sponsors and players for being part of the tournament that supports his foundation.
Woods withdrew from the Chevron World Challenge at the start of the week, citing unspecified injuries from a car accident Nov. 27 outside his home in Florida.
He also thanked his staff and the volunteers, and said he was sorry he was unable to fulfill his duties as a host and player in the $5.75 million tournament.
Along with not playing, Woods chose not to show up at Sherwood Country Club.
