Two teens were arrested in the deadly shooting of a 13-year-old boy near Santa Ana High School.

An 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested in connection with the gang-related deadly shooting of a 13-year-old boy near Santa Ana High School, police said Thursday.
Rodrigo Valle was with a group of people when he was shot multiple times in the chest about 3 p.m. Wednesday at Flower and Walnut streets, Santa Ana police Cpl. Jose Gonzalez said. Valle reportedly refused to respond to the question, "Where are you from?"
Witnesses told police that when no answer was given, someone started shooting.
Police believe the handgun used in the shooting was recovered, Gonzalez said.
Detectives arrested the first suspect at 3:15 a.m. and the second at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, but Gonzalez declined to say where they were taken into custody or where the suspected handgun, which still must be analyzed, was recovered.Both the suspects and the victim are believed to have belonged to gangs, Gonzalez said.
