Teacher, Student Had Alleged Relationship
CYPRESS, Calif. (CBS) ―
A male teacher at a Cypress prep school has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a female student over the past several months.
Christopher John Ontiveros, 42, of Huntington Beach, was arrested Tuesday and booked on suspicion of sexual battery, sending harmful matter to a minor with the intent to seduce and child annoyance, among other allegations, Sgt. Tom Bruce said.
Ontiveros taught social science at Oxford Academy, a middle and high school.
Anaheim Union High School District officials reported Ontiveros to police Oct. 15, Bruce said.
Ontiveros allegedly carried on a sexual relationship with the student, whose age was not disclosed, for several months.
He was released from Cypress jail after posting $100,000 bail.
