Police Taser Drunk, Nude Man At Ventura Hospital

VENTURA (AP) ― Authorities say a drunk, nude Lancaster man covered in his own blood was Tasered and arrested by police as he tried to flee Ventura County Medical Center armed with scissors.

A Ventura police report says 42-year-old Daniel Gilberg was being treated early Saturday in the emergency room for a head injury he suffered in a fall.

He grew impatient and yanked out intravenous lines and a catheter and threatened two nurses with scissors.

He was subdued by two officers.

Gilberg has been booked at for assault with a deadly weapon after being treated at the hospital.
