San Clemente Family's Deaths May Have Been Suicide

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (AP) ― Authorities say five family members whose decomposed bodies were found last month in an upscale Orange County home may have killed themselves.

Manas Ucar, his wife, their twin 21-year-old daughters and the family's maternal grandmother were discovered May 25 when relatives broke into the house after not hearing from them for some time.

Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino says "There's a possibility that all five committed suicide."

Officials say Ucar and his wife were found in a downstairs closet attached to a bedroom, with two handguns near the bodies. The twins were in a bed in the attached bedroom and the grandmother was found on a chaise-lounge.

Investigators have not determined a motive for the deaths.
