Dozens of state workers who have been laid off or seen their wages slashed returned the favor Sunday by going to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's Brentwood home and telling him "you're fired" -- at least symbolically.
Members of Service Employees International Union Local 1000 gathered outside the governor's home around 11:30 a.m. Sunday and attempted to give him a giant "pink slip" as part of ongoing protests against the governor's budget cutbacks.

SEIU members tried to give Schwarzenegger the pink slip on Friday at his Sacramento office but were rebuffed by Capitol security.
The union also filed two court actions Friday to stop the governor's order from going into effect and accusing him of unfair labor practices.
