'Starlet Bandit' Robs Van Nuys Bank of America
LOS ANGELES
Authorities say the "Starlet Bandit" robbed a Bank of America branch in Van Nuys Tuesday, fleeing with an undetermined amount of money.
The robbery happened at about 9:30 a.m. at 7225 Woodman Ave., near Sherman Way, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said.
The suspect is described as standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 160 to 180 pounds. She was wearing large sunglasses and carrying a cell phone during the heist.
The Starlet Bandit earned her moniker after robbing a Bank of America branch in Hollywood on March 25, wearing what witnesses described as "movie star sunglasses," Eimiller said.
Anyone with information on the robbery can call the FBI at (310) 477-6565.
