Mosque In SoCal Gets Vandalized With Racial Slurs

Clean up was under way at the Islamic Center of Cypress after it was vandalized with racial slurs and other graffiti overnight Thursday.

Police said a Southern California mosque was vandalized with a spray-painted threat and other graffiti.
Police Sgt. Tom Bruce said an officer spotted the slurs and expletives painted on the Islamic Center of Cypress before dawn Thursday. He says the lettering was still wet to the touch.
The Orange County Human Relations Commission said that the painted lettering was about 4 or 5 feet tall and read, in part: "We will kill you all."
A call to the Islamic Center was not immediately returned.
Police said there were no witnesses and the incident was not caught on surveillance video.
The vandalism was reported even as President Barack Obama is touring the Middle East and reaching out to the Muslim world. He gave a major address Thursday in Cairo, Egypt.
