Man Faces Charges After Late-Night Pursuit

More Car Chases

LOS ANGELES A man faced charges Saturday after leading police on a chase through South L.A. in a stolen vehicle Friday night into Saturday morning.

The chase, which began shortly before midnight, ended at Stanford and Florence avenues at about 12:05 a.m., when the suspect "just stopped driving," said Sgt. Art Mendoza of the 77th Street Station.

"The driver was taken into custody without incident," he said.

The suspect's name was not immediately available pending booking.
