Bicyclist Injured In South L.A. Drive-By Shooting

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― A bicyclist was wounded in a drive-by shooting Monday night in South Los Angeles.

The shooting in the 9100 block of South Figueroa Street occurred about 9:30 p.m., said Los Angeles police Sgt. Anthony Oddo of the Southeast Station.

"The juvenile was riding his bicycle south on Figueroa when the suspect vehicle pulled up," Oddo said. "Five to six shots were fired. One struck the victim."

The victim's injury did not appear to be life threatening, Oddo said.

"He's in good condition the last I heard," Oddo said.

Oddo was unable to confirm reports the gunman might have been in a black Toyota.
