Remains found in the Angeles National Forest were identified as human Sunday, a sheriff's deputy said.
A father and son found an apparent skull while hiking on Mount Wilson Road around 1 p.m. yesterday, said Deputy Tony Moore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The coroner today confirmed the remains were human.
The identity of the person whose remains were found was unknown, as was the cause of death, Moore said.
