Signal Hill Woman Killed In Crash On 710 Freeway
BELL, Calif.
A Signal Hill woman was killed Tuesday when she crashed on the southbound 710 Freeway in Bell, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred about 3:15 a.m. south of Florence Avenue, CHP Officer L. Portillo said.
The name of the victim, who was in her 20s, was being withheld, pending notification of her relatives, Portillo added.
The woman was driving a 1994 Honda "at a high rate of speed" in the fast lane when the vehicle swerved to the right, crossed all the lanes and hit the concrete support structure of an overcrossing, according to the preliminary report.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
