O.C. Sheriff Names Command Staff Members
SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) ―
Two Los Angeles law enforcement veterans will be on new Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens' command staff, and she's keeping on the man who served as interim sheriff before her hiring.
Hutchens announced Wednesday that her second in command will be John Scott, a longtime division chief with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department who recently ran the jails there. Hutchens worked with Scott before she retired from that department.
She also named as one of four assistant sheriffs Mike Hillman, a 41-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department who most recently served as deputy chief.
Hutchens retained Jack Anderson, who served as interim sheriff. Anderson will stay as assistant sheriff, in charge of administration.
