2 Rottweilers Seriously Injure Woman In Eastvale
EASTVALE, Calif.
A woman was seriously injured Thursday when she was attacked by two Rottweilers in Eastvale, an animal services spokesperson said.
The attack occurred about 11 a.m., according to John Welsh of the Riverside County Department of Animal Services.
The dogs -- a 100-lb. male and a 90-lb. female -- were impounded.
The dogs and their owners lived about a block from the attack scene.
The woman -- described by Animal Control as "very petite" -- was taken to a hospital by ambulance, Welsh said. She is believed to have a broken arm and a lot of puncture wounds to the face and scalp.
Tammie Belmonte of Riverside Animal Control said the victim was "shocked by the attack. The dogs were just on top of her and took her to the ground. She was very shaken up."
Greg Mills reporting for KCAL 9 said "both animals were euthanized and tested for rabies."
