Caught On Tape: Bank Robbery In Alhambra

ALHAMBRA, Calif. (CBS) ― Alhambra police released surveillance video of a bank robbery in hopes of generating tips that will lead to an arrest.

Police responded to a silent alarm at Citibank at 1 West Bay State St.
at 4:40 p.m. Friday, said Sgt. Brandon Black of the Alhambra Police Department.

According to police, a male suspect handed a demand note to a teller and claimed to have a gun, although no weapon was displayed.

Police said the man had an untucked shirt tail and had his left hand
near his waistband.

He put the money into a bag he took from his pants pocket and fled.

He was described as a Hispanic man in his late 30s or early 40s, 5 feet
7 inches tall to 5 feet 8 inches tall, 145 pounds, with thick salt and pepper
hair and mustache.

He was wearing a blue-gray plaid flannel collared short- sleeved shirt and faded blue jeans with a patch or band aid on his upper right forearm.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Alhambra Police Department at (626) 570-5151.
