Mother Gets Jail Time For Abusing Her Daughter

MURRIETA (AP) ― The mother of a toddler whose arms were broken has pleaded guilty to child abuse.

Riverside County Superior Court Judge Judith Clark on Wednesday sentenced 23-year-old Diana Vicky Estrada to 180 days in jail, to be served on weekends, and she was placed on four years' probation.
 
Her now-3-year-old daughter Liliana suffered fractures to both arms between November 2006 and January 2007 while living in Temecula.

Estrada later regained custody of the child.

Estrada shared a home with another woman, 24-year-old Eisiderio Ayala, who also pleaded guilty Wednesday to child abuse and was sentenced to jail and placed on probation.
