A 16-year-old boy was in custody Monday for allegedly gunning down a teenager in an apparent gang-related attack last September.
The suspect, whose name was not released because he is a minor, was arrested Wednesday by Riverside police, according to Sgt. Derwin Hudson.
The boy is accused of shooting 16-year-old Johnny Macias in the chest last Sept. 6 as he walked near the intersection of Bunker and Diamond streets, Hudson said.
Friends rushed Macias to Riverside Community Hospital, where he died after undergoing surgery.
