Reward Offered For Info In Attack On Jewish Man
LOS ANGELES
A $30,000 reward is being offered for information leading to a conviction in last month's attack on a 59-year-old Orthodox Jewish man in the San Fernando Valley.
The Anti-Defamation League says it's adding $5,000 to the $25,000 reward arranged by the Los Angeles City Council.
The group says the victim was wearing a yarmulke head covering while out for a walk in North Hollywood on the evening of April 12 when he was attacked by two men who punched and kicked him while making anti-Semitic comments.
Anti-Defamation League regional director Amanda Susskind says she's concerned by a recent spate of incidents in the San Fernando Valley that include the Molotov cocktail attack on a Jewish community center and the spray-painting of anti-Semitic graffiti.
