T-Bone, Alleged Alligator Wrangler, Arrested

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― The Louisiana man who offered to help catch Reggie, Harbor City's elusive alligator, has been arrested and sent back to his home state.

It turns out Thomas "T-Bone" Quinn was not supposed to leave Louisiana because he was on parole for writing bad checks. He was picked up by L.A. County sheriff's deputies on October 20th and extradited to Louisiana last weekend.

T-Bone had been staying at Echo Park's Dream Center since being displaced by Hurricane Katrina. He made news when he came forward and claimed to be an alligator wrangler and offered to catch the 6-foot alligator lurking in Machado Lake.

Meanwhile, Reggie is getting a reprieve. Efforts to hunt Reggie down have been suspended until spring because the reptile is expected to lay low during the winter months.
