The National Weather Service says a Red Flag Warning will go into effect at 12 a.m. Monday, as humidity drops across the Southland.
Forecasters said humidity levels in mountain areas will drop to below 10 percent. The San Gabriel Mountains north and east of Pasadena were cited as an area that will be particularly dry.
Moist air will flow into the area Tuesday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Similar warnings were issued for mountainous areas along the Central Coast, including Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
