Well-Known Blogger Arrested On Probation Violation
LONG BEACH
"Boy About Town", a well-known blogger and video producer in Long Beach, has been arrested on charges stemming from a probation violation involving charges he skipped after ripping off the Red Cross in Florida.
The blogger, aka Patric Ian Henn, 31, had been sentenved to 2 and one-half years in prison and 2 and one-half years of probation in for stealing $68,000 from the Red Cross under the guise he was raising money for 9-11 victims.
The Long Beach Press-Telegram also reports Henn has yet to pay back nearly $29,000 he owes the Red Cross.
Henn had a weekly e-mail magazine called "Boy's Buzz," and had interviewed Long Beach political leaders and celebrities for a magazine and Internet show.
Henn was arrested just after midnight Friday after an acquaintance tipped Long Beach Police about his outstanding felony arrest warrants, the
paper reported.
Henn is being held without bail in the Los Angeles County jail system pending extradition.
