Teacher Pleads Guilty To Molesting Student, 13

MURRIETA (CBS) ― A former Mead Valley middle school teacher will be sentenced July 14 after pleading guilty to molesting a student, 13, according to court records.

Raymond Ricardo Fields, 27, of Murrieta, pleaded guilty Tuesday to two felony counts of committing a lewd act on a child under the age of 14.

He faces 10 years in state prison.

Fields taught math at Tomas Rivera Middle School in Mead Valley and had developed a sexual relationship with the girl in October 2005, according to court records.

The molestations occurred over a six-month period at Fields' home.

He was placed on administrative leave following his arrest on May 3. He has since resigned.
