Scholarship Set Up In Honor Of Randal Simmons

A scholarship fund is being established in honor of fallen Los Angeles SWAT officer Randal Simmons.
The Los Angeles Police Foundation and KABC 790 radio announced the Officer Randal Simmons Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors of the Los Angeles Police Academy Magnet School Program who are planning careers in law enforcement.
Simmons died February 7th during a standoff in the Winnetka neighborhood. He is the first LAPD SWAT officer to die in the line of duty.
