Two men sought in the deaths of four people near Palmdale, Calif., are being held on million-dollar cash bonds in Cochise County awaiting extradition.
Tae Won Kwon and Jae Hwan Shim were arrested Saturday at the U.S. Port of Entry in Douglas after Mexican immigration authorities escorted them to the port and turned them over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers.
Cochise County sheriff's spokeswoman Carol Capas says Kwon and Shim are being held on Los Angeles County homicide warrants.
Los Angeles sheriff's investigators notified Douglas police Saturday that Mexican authorities had two "persons of interest" in a June 23 quadruple homicide.
The crime involved a NASA engineer, a woman and her two children who were found beaten and slashed or stabbed to death in a home that was later set on fire.
