Sex Offender Sentenced To 1,330 Years In Prison

MURRIETA, Calif. A 44-year-old convicted sex offender was sentenced Monday to more than a millennium in prison.

Horace Mann Williams was convicted in February of 11 felony counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14 and one count of digital penetration of a child under 14, along with a sentence-enhancing allegation of multiple victims. He molested three girls between 1999 and 2005.

Williams delivered a long diatribe against the court and his attorney before Riverside County Superior Court Judge Sherrill Ellsworth handed down a 1,330-year sentence for him.

"You guys are full of it," said an emotional Williams, who broke down and cried during his statement.

Williams claimed his lawyer, Dario Bejarano Jr., did a poor job of representing him. Though he was allowed to have another lawyer, the judge would not grant the defendant a new trial.

The defendant claims that during a period when he was supposedly molesting one of the victims, he was in prison. He also alleged juror misconduct, stating that a potential panelist had made a prejudicial statement before being selected for his trial.

"I will be filing an appeal," an angry Williams said.

Williams spent six years in prison for molestation in the early 1990s.
