Cops: Dean Knew About Principal's Affair With Girl

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― A South Los Angeles school official has been accused of withholding evidence that a colleague had a sexual relationship with a student.

Los Angeles County prosecutors say 48-year-old Alan Hubbard surrendered to police Thursday and will be arraigned Friday on one felony count each of accessory after the fact and obstruction of justice.

Hubbard is being held on $120,000 bail. He has been on administrative leave from the Los Angeles Unified School District since May.

Prosecutors claim Hubbard knew about an alleged relationship between a student at James A. Foshay Learning Center and former assistant principal Stephen Rooney. Hubbard was a dean at the school.

Rooney is accused of illegal sexual contact with three teenage girls.
