Authorities say a 30-year-old Calabasas man was killed when his speeding Lamborghini flew off the Ventura (101) Freeway in Woodland Hills, overturned and burst into flames.
The Lamborghini, which reportedly cost about $100,000, went off the westbound 101 Freeway, near Shoup Avenue, just after 2:30 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos said.
The pricey Italian sports car crashed into a guardrail and a parking structure in the 22100 block of Burbank Boulevard, then became engulfed in flames with the driver still seated inside.
The driver died at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
