2 Wounded In Pomona Car-To-Car Shooting
POMONA
Police say two people were shot and wounded Saturday night in a car-to-car shooting in Pomona.
The two victims are expected to survive their wounds, say police.
Authorities were notified of the shooting attack at the intersection of Philadelphia Street and Towne Avenue about 11:35 p.m., according to police Sgt. E. Vazquez.
The victims were stopped at a red light when an unknown vehicle pulled along side the victims and someone began firing a handgun striking both people in the car.
The two people reportedly suffered serious, but non life-threatening, gunshot wounds.
A motive for the shooting was under investigation.
Vazquez said, "The victims' names are being kept confidential pending notification of family members as well as for their own safety."
