2 Killed In Casino Shooting, Gun Battle Reported

SAN JACINTO, Calif. Sheriff's deputies have shot and killed two people to end an hour-long gun battle on an Indian reservation in Riverside County.

Sgt. Dennis Gutierrez says deputies responded Monday evening to a report of shots being fired at a security kiosk near the Soboba Casino.

When deputies arrived, at least two suspects shot at them.

The sides exchanged gunfire for nearly an hour.

Members of the sheriff's SWAT team arrived, triggering a second round of shooting. Gutierrez says team members killed two suspects.

No deputies were injured.

Authorities did not immediately release the identities of the dead suspects. Television reports said a man and woman were killed.
