Ex-Girlfriend Says Phil Spector Pointed Gun At Her
LOS ANGELES (AP) ―
Court papers say legendary record producer Phil Spector pointed a gun at the head of a former employee whom he became romantically involved with in the 1970s and 1980s.
According to the court document, Devra Robitaille claimed Spector placed a shotgun or rifle against her forehead when she tried to leave his home after a party. Court papers say Robitaille told Spector to "knock that off and put that away" and Spector eventually relented and let her leave.
A prosecutor claims the testimony and that of four other women is "striking" to the February 2003, death of actress Lana Clarkson, who was found shot in the foyer of Spector's home.
The prosecutor will ask a judge next Tuesday to allow Robitaille's testimony to be presented at Spector's murder trial.
