Santa Ana Pastor Dismissed After Child Porn Arrest

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) ― The senior pastor of a Santa Ana church has been dismissed following his arrest for investigation of possessing child pornography.

Robert Bowman was dismissed as rector Friday from Saint Luke's Reform Episcopal Church.

A member of the church vestry says Bowman had been the senior pastor of the small congregation for a few years.

Los Angeles police say Bowman was arrested at his San Pedro home on Thursday following a search of the residence. He was booked into jail and later released on $20,000 bail.

Bowman also was headmaster of CrossRoad Christian Academy in Gardena.

Police say the case will be forwarded to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, which will decide whether to file charges.
