Authorities say an Amtrak passenger train struck and killed a 32-year-old woman Sunday as she was walking alongside the tracks in a railroad tunnel.
The Los Angeles County coroner's office says Myra Theresa Mina-Calove of Woodland Hills was killed just before 4 p.m. when her head hit a grab bar on the side of the train.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mina-Calove was walking with four other people inside the tunnel in the Chatsworth section of L.A.'s San Fernando Valley.
Police say the pedestrians were in an off-limits area.
The train was carrying 400 passengers on the way to Simi Valley.
No injuries were reported from the train.
