Hundreds of thousands of spectators bundled in jackets and blankets are braving the chilly temperatures Monday as the 118th Rose Parade is underway.
It all began with a majestic flyover by an Air Force B-2 stealth bomber.
Many came to see the parade's Grand Marshal George Lucas and a three-piece entry called "Star Wars Spectacular." That entry includes 200 stormtroopers and two floats depicting the moon of Endor and the garden plant Naboo.
The parade also feature 45 floats, 22 marching bands and 23 equestrian units.
Among the most anticipated floats were "A Unique History," a 70-foot-long entry commemorating Oklahoma's 100th birthday that features a rotating cake.
The parade also was marked by a first-ever appearance by llamas.
