Man, 18, Shot And Killed At East L.A. Party
EAST LOS ANGELES
He came to party and have a good time, but 18-year-old Jeffrey Alvarado found death instead.
Police say Alvarado was shot to death at a party in East Los Angeles Friday night. Two other men, their names withheld, were also wounded by gunfire.
The party had been advertised on fliers handed out and posted in and around East L.A.
Alvarado was fatally shot in the 500 block of South Hoefner Avenue about midnight, said Deputy Rick Pedroza of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
During the party, someone pulled out a handgun and began firing multiple rounds, fatally striking Alvarado in the upper body and wounding two others -- one man in the arm, the other man in the leg, Pedroza said.
