The FBI is investigating possible fraud at a gold-trading business co-owned by a Camarillo woman killed this week in a Century City parking garage.
A law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press today that the agency is investigating the activities of Goldfinger Coin & Bullion Sales. The official was not authorized to comment publicly because the probe is ongoing and no further details were released.
Pamela Fayed was stabbed repeatedly Monday and had her throat cut in front of several witnesses in the parking garage. No arrests or suspects have been announced.
Fayed was the estranged wife of James Fayed, who with her owned the Internet gold-trading site and an associated Internet firm, e-Bullion.
