Palmdale Toddler Remains Critical After Beating

PALMDALE, Calif. Police say a 2-year-old Palmdale boy was severely beaten Saturday and his father identified as a "person of interest."

The toddler was not expected to live, but was "clinging to life," Sheriff's deputy Ed Hernandez said. The boy had been taken to a hospital at about 10:45 p.m. Friday.

The boy was heavily bruised and had internal bleeding when he was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital.

The boy's father, Travion Deshawn Taylor of Palmdale, was called a "person of interest."
