A suspicious package containing a bag of clothes and other personal belongings prompted officials to evacuate a Metrolink train and a Palmdale station, authorities said.
The station was evacuated just before 4 p.m. Thursday and an inbound train was stopped at the Vincent Grade/ Acton station as arson specialists inspected the package, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Don Ford of the Palmdale Station.
Passengers were taken by bus to the Palmdale and Lancaster stations, he said.
