Oxnard Sweep Of 100 Homes Nets 31 Parole Violators

OXNARD, Calif. (AP) ― An army of more than 140 officers from nine law enforcement agencies swarmed through parts of Oxnard Thursday, in one of Ventura County's largest ever sweeps for parole violators.

Thirty-one people were arrested in the sweep organized by Oxnard police.

The officers raided more than 100 homes.

David Keith, with the Oxnard police department says a number of weapons were recovered, as well as drugs.

Officers also went after taggers, noting that in the last two years feuds between rival tagging teams have often turned violent.
