A suspect in an Orange County bank robbery has slashed his neck with a box-cutter after being followed on a freeway by an undercover officer in Irvine.

A suspect in an Orange County bank robbery has slashed his neck with a box-cutter after being followed on a freeway by an undercover officer in Irvine.
Anaheim police Sgt. Rick Martinez said the man was bleeding profusely from the neck after he got out of his car on an Interstate 5 exit ramp on Monday.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital where he is recovering and in custody. The man has not been identified.
Earlier, witnesses in an Anaheim bank robbery described the car that the undercover officer spotted on the freeway.
Police said they found cash in the front seat of the car, but no weapon.
