Arleta Shooting Leaves 4 Wounded
ARLETA, Calif.
Police are looking for the gunman that shot and injured four people as they were entering a parked car in Arleta.
The shooting took place near Van Nuys Boulevard and Vena Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night, Lt. Ingrid Brown of the Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill Station said.
The four victims -- described as men in their late teens to early 20s -- were getting into a car when another vehicle drove next to it and someone inside shot several rounds toward the car, wounding all four occupants, Brown said.
The car's driver managed to drive himself and the three other victims to Pacifica Hospital of the Valley, she said.
From there, the other victims were taken to other hospitals, Brown said.
"One (victim) got out of surgery and will be fine," she said late Tuesday. "Two are expected to survive, and the fourth (victim) is in surgery."
Authorities are looking for a motive for the attack, Brown said.
No description of the suspect vehicle or the gunman has been released.
